What grabs your attention better than anything else?

For the past 60 years, marketers have argued whether babies, cute animals or attractive women grabbed attention best in advertisements. Well, the jury is back and the results are in. A recent study shows that babies are the clear winner, but interestingly, attractive women with baby-like features, pull almost just as well. So, if you’re struggling to find a way to incorporate babies into your next ad, perhaps you can find a beautiful woman with big eyes and round cheeks. Additionally, the study showed that when the women’s eyes in the ads were Photoshopped to enlarge the size of the pupils, men responded with an even higher response rate. You see, the pupils grow larger when aroused and the male readers subconsciously picked up on this subtle difference and responded favorably.
