Remember when we’ve talked about how important links are when they’re coming into your site? Well, today, we’re talking about how important it is to make sure the ones going out of your site are good links too.
It’s important to check all of the links on your site to make sure you aren’t linking to something that doesn’t exist. A website’s credibility can and usually will suffer when it’s riddled with broken links. Broken links occur when the site you’re linking to is no longer live, or has been moved. Sometimes, it even happens when there’s a typo in your link.
Remember, a link from your site is a “vote” for the site you’re linking to, and “voting” for a site that doesn’t exist lowers your credibility with Google.
