First-Page Search Results: It's Easier Than You Think

First page search results may seem like a far-off dream that you’ve struggled to obtain for years, but once you understand what the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing are looking for, it’s not that difficult.  There’s no secret.  There’s nothing magical about it.  It’s just a matter of following a tight set of rules to the letter.

So what are those rules?  We’ve found more than 106 of them but there are 4 major ones that are deal-breakers if you don’t follow them.  Sometimes, you don’t even have to follow the top four and you can still achieve first page search results.  For instance, if you’re going after a relatively obscure term, there’s not a lot of competition for the phrase so all you have to do is mention the phrase on your page and you’re likely to rank on the first page.  On the other hand, if you’re trying to rank for a highly competitive phrase like “mortgage refinance” then you may have to adhere to all 106 rules in order to rank well.

So how can you determine if your desired keyword phrases are really competitive or not?  Just search for the phrase on Google and see how many sites come up in the results pages.  If there are tens of millions of sites, you probably think you’re in trouble.  Don’t worry.  You can still achieve first page rankings, it’s just a little more work.  Want to discover what we’d recommend to get your site ranked?   Give us a call today at 970-674-0079.
