Since the second quarter is drawing to a close, now is a great time for a mid-year financial review. Are you on track to meet your financial goals for 2014?  If not, what changes can you make to get back on track? If sales are slow, this may be the time to reconsider your marketing budget or how you are allocating your marketing dollars.

Mid-year is also a good time to review expenses.  Often times, when you conduct a detailed review of expenses you will find costs that can be reduced or eliminated altogether.  Then, you can look at reallocating those dollars more wisely.

Of course, mid-year isn’t just a good time for a financial review. It’s also a good time to review the progress you’ve made towards all your goals. For instance, if you planned to increase your company’s web presence in 2014, review your progress towards that goal well.  Are you blogging as much as you wanted to? Are you posting to your company’s Facebook page?  If not, now is the time to put together a plan that will help ensure you will achieve your goals by the end of 2014. There’s still plenty of time.
